Blossoms

This was taken in downtown Raleigh, NC. Since I don't have a lens that allows me to take very close pictures on my dSLR, I actually took this picture with my little Sony Cybershot point and shoot. The settings (although I didn't have control over them) ISO 125, f/4.5, 1/500.

Michelle, nice job capturing this with the little camera!  The composition works well of this colorful subject and it looks like you got as close as the camera would allow.

Welcome to NPN, Michelle.  I think you composed this very well to show a beautiful group of blossoms.  I also like the blue sky in the background.

Michelle, Welcome to NPN! Good job on these. However, they are not dogwood, whatever they are; at least not like any dogwood I have ever seen. Perhaps you can go back to the source and find out what they are; I would be curious to know.cool

Welcome to NPN, Michelle. Excellent floral image, especially for a point and shoot. I like the comp and colors a lot. Very artistic take these blossoms (though I agree with Phil that these blooms are not dogwood). crying

Thank you for the comments. I am very sorry I mislabled the flowers! Thank you for correcting me. I have removed the "dogwood" name and for now I will just have to call them blossoms!
