Brown Creeper

These guys have been difficult for me to photograph.  They don't, as far as I know, come to feeders.  For me, I just need to luck into them and hope I have the right camera and lens.  This is a pretty big crop, so it won't hold up well at larger sizes.    D800e, 300f4, 1.4tc, 1/160, f6.3, ISO 2000, tripod.  C&C welcome.

The crop definitely shows, Jim, but it's resulted in a very painterly look to the image (particularly the larger image) that I find quite appealing.  This is a far better shot than I've managed to get of this species.

Very nice. My only suggestion is less trunk and more gbackground on the left if you have it.

They can be a difficult species to photograph well.  I agree with Jerry's crop suggestion.  They will at least, at times, respond to a call.

Thanks for your comments folks.  I will try it with a bit less tree.  David, thanks for the info regarding them responding to a call.  I have that iphone app that includes all the calls.  Might just try it.
