Another Rufous Image

The same bird as my last post, though I'm not sure whether it's the same blossom.  I removed a couple of part flowers on the edges of this one.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/6.3, 1/2500, iso 1000, aperture priority an pattern metering with -2/3 stop compensation.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Bird processed on a separate layer from the background.  Cropped to 15.8 MP.  Taken at 6:09 am on July 5th.

I appreciate your comments on my last hummingbird post.

Thanks,

Andrew asked:  "no flash ?

No flash.  I prefer the look of the wings without it-just a personal preference, as I have seen some stunning Hummingbird images with flash setups.  It's probably just laziness on my part-I don't have to set anything up but my three-legged stool and tripod and I'm not limited to enticing the bird to a particular blossom.

I like the wing position even better in this one Dennis. Looks like you had some great light to work with and you made good use of it!
