Love the detail in this intimate little falls. Looks like pure magic pouring over the rocks. If I any thoughts for improvement, it would be that it feels a little tight top left. I love the refreshing feel you have here.

Exquisite detail, Preston. I like the trees' reflection in the water, the SS, and the blue highlights. Fern Spring sure is a convenient, yet often overlooked, photo spot.

Preston:
I always love these small world unto themselves images, especially the time stands still feeling. Nicely done, wish i had a chance right now for a bit more small, green and wet!

A lovely look at this small falls, Preston. The beautiful clarity in the water coming over the falls is offset nicely by the white water at the base plus there's a fine sense of depth. I'm with Gary in wishing for just a tad more space to the left at the top and in enjoying the refreshing feeling here.

The small Image fooled me, I thought it was a Drone Photo of a large waterfall.
The silky, smooth image is very impressive. With that large format image, there
must be an incredible detail. Very nice!

This plays beautifully in my imagination somewhere between the drama of a great waterfall and the quiet movement of water slipping over low lying rocks. Like it a lot !!

I agree with a bit more space on the left side. Other than that this is lovely! Especially the distorted reflections of the green leaves are a nice detail.

I can imagine the joy of viewing this on a ground glass. Lovely.

Really lovely image here, Preston. The rocks, the mosses all contrast nicely with the silky smooth water. I am trying to figure out whether you did two images (one slower for swirling pool and one faster for clear water topping the rocks), and that technical aspect of it actually keeps me as interested as the aesthetics (the latter of which are considerable, but also quickly appreciated).

Thanks for your comments, everyone!
Honestly, I also feel it's a little tight in the upper left corner. However, I was constrained by a very bright patch of sunlight that was rapidly encroaching on the scene.
This was a single exposure, Marylynne: 8 seconds @ f-45, with various swings and tilts on the view camera. I am glad you like the image!

I agree it is tight at the top... The SS and processing is terrific. Perfect for a small stream.

Nice detail shot. Everything looks very natural. Just needs a soundtrack to go with it.
