A face - off between two master predators, Royal Bengal Tiger and Marsh Crocodile.
An interesting situation, I came across during one of my workshop in Ranthambhor, recently.
I would be posting more frames from this encounter, but I'm expecting a question about this frame, lemme see, who asks that first? ![]()
Thank you so much for your views n comments!

9 commentsJagdeep,
The obvious question is did they fight?
The croc looks quite big or the Tiger is a young one/female.
I would certainly not recomend a fight, although I have seen images of a Leopard killing a Croc.
Nice and different image
That was pretty fast and I really appreciate that but Ken the question I'm expecting is technical or about some particular technique.
BTW both your statements are corrrect, Croc is big and Tiger is young.

Jagdeep,
Techs look Ok to me but then I am not big on techs
My question was also about what happened next... :)
I think this is very cool, even if we can't see the face of the prettier of the two subjects. It tells a great story, and I hope to see more photos of the story unfolding...

Great story-telling image here Jagdeep!
It's too late and I'm too tired to figure out the question you are looking for, so will be back tomorrow to see if someone nailed it ;)
An unusual image! Are you hoping someone will ask about the fast shutter speed? I'm assuming you were anticipating action or some action had already occured?
Edit: Show us the rest of the sequence!
This one made me chuckle, what focal length were you at? Nice depth of field and comp
Hi Nate!
