All That is Gold..

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."  (J.R.R. Tolkien)
This Checkered Setwing DF is angled away some, so I wouldn't normally post it. And the 'glitter wing' is not in sharp focus either.. But the suns glitter caught my eye anywayenlightened

F/29, 1/200th, ISO 640, 5DM2, 300mm f/2.8 + 2x ext. @ 12:02pm & clear with fill flash. Manual focusing of coursecrying

The glitter on the wings is a nice bonus, Howard.  Yes, it's a "backside view", but you've got fine sharpness head to tail, a good "hot day" pose (abdomen pointed at the sun), and a fine background.

Dramatic image, Howard. The glittering wings makes this a unique and eye-catching DF image. I encourage everyone to click on the larger image for a better look. devil
