Ian: Wonderful light and comp on this one. There is a lot to explore and enjoy in this frame with the partial bloom and the bud as the supporting cast and the nice BG. Superbly crafted image.>=))>

Beautiful rose color on the mallow. I wish you had taken this at f/10, as the bottom of the flower bowl is slightly out of focus. My only nit! Otherwise pleasing colors and a butter smooth BG.

Beautiful colors and nice smooth bg. Yes, the center has been disturbed but I still like how it looks. I also like the bud extending from behind the left side of the flower.

Beautifully composed and captured, Ian. I like the bit of color wash in the bg. Perfect dof managment. Only question is the high ss and iso. I assume 1/1250 and iso 800 because you were shooting bees?

Looks good to me Ian. The pollen add some interesting texture to the flower. Sharpness and exposure are perfect ......................Jim

Ian - You have your way with strong lighting. You handling makes it look so easy. There is enough substance in the center - looks like the Bees were not all that hungry. If you had not mentioned, I'd have thought this to be a reasonably fresh flower.

Hi Ian. A Mallow different from the type I posted today but all these flowers are splendid. The work of the bees is a natural complement of the floral images. I love the photo.
