I'm thrilled to share this image, which was declared 1st prize winner in a popular photographic competition in India, known as DJMPC, 2015. Along with a win came cash prize of about US$5000
I happened to post one image from this series earlier too.
Canon 5D III; 70-200mm f 4; ISO 400; 1/400 sec. at F 4.
Thank you so much for your views n comments!

I like the depth in this image due to the dust. I count 9 elephants in the composition which is impressive considerring I usually try to get a single organism in focus at a time. This image deserves the prize and it is a wonderful portrayal of elephants....................Jim

There is a 3D quality to this image which is quite wonderful. I think it is due to the dust (as pointed out by Jim), the beautiful light and the varying sizes and positions of the elephants. I took a look at the DJMPC website. Over 3500 excellent images were entered. To be named the first prize winner is a very special honor, and you certainly deserve it. Congratulations.

Hi Jagdeep,
Congratulations on the win - assuming you'll be sharing the cash with all of us?
Ironically, while I like this shot a lot (could you jam more elephants in the frame?), I think you've posted other elephant shots that I prefer much more.
Cheers and looking forward (as always) to your next post...

Big congrats on the award, well deserved Jagdeep. Love the up close poses of this group and the dust kicked up behind them, neat shot!

The inward swinging trunks add so much to the sense of dynamic movement and a also a subtle compositional framing of the detail of the little guy in the center. Congrats!
