This is a different composition than the one I posted back in February. I decide to try a vertical that retains an abstract quality.

Nikon D-7100
Nikkor 16-85mm
Tk's Masks
May 2015

Please see the large version. Thanks!

Your thoughts are always appreciated. cool

Hey Preston,
The lighting and patterns and lines and colors and various materials really combine to make this an outstanding image.
Well seen and presented . . .  devil

Preston: great collection of patterns, textures and color. The metal objects top and bottom form frames for the brick partion of the wall. Nicely seen. Richard

Nice semi-abstract of shapes, textures and colors. I might like it warmed up a bit, but that is totally a personal preference.

Preston, I'd have to say the vintage of all this brick and rusty iron pieces must have plenty of mileage on it from the looks of it here. For me this image or scene is all about the angles overall. The horizontals, verticals, and diagonals have one looking in various directions throughout this small space. For that I find this very unique, along with the era vintage too, but mostly about the viewing angle collection.......very well seen and done.....laugh

Hi Preston,

I like the speckles of white mixed in with the grays, browns, and rusty reds of the scene.  The diagonal elements look good in the image.........................Jim

I would like to see this photographed again to include all of the iron door, if possible.  Otherwise a great image.

Thanks for your comment, Floyd. I'll take another look. The problem is that there's a dumpster and other stuff in this alcove, so I'm not sure I can make your idea (which I agree with) work very well. But, I'll take a look-see.

Thanks for your comments, everyone!

I really love the mix of building materials, textures and variation in tones and colors. The lines and shapes combine to make a very intriguing image.
