Spring Buck and Fog

I was out in Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park looking for fawns this Spring at dawn. This young buck was enjoying a early breakfast. The sunlight was on one side of the meadow and a fog bank was rolling in on the opposite side. Made for some interesting light for a brief period of time. The meadow quickly became covered in fog.

Looks good to me.  Good color in the deer, nice detail and you handled the fog well.  If anything maybe a tad more room on the right.  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Andrew,

I quite like the lighting here - having the subject in the sunlight with the darker tones of the fog rolling in is quite visually appealing. I tend to agree with John that a very minor increase in space on the right might add to the image's appeal, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker.

Cheers...

Brad

Hello Andrew ,  gotta love those small fuzzy antlers during the springtime. With  dark background the light is sweet. Maybe overall a little tight if you had room?

The buck stands out so well from the background. The larger image is really nice.

Andrew,

I would be very happy with this as it is, but my eyes seem to show a slight tilt to the right nothing significant

The lighting and color saturation make this work really well for me.  Thanks for sharing it.
