Skogafoss

The second-most classic view of Skogafoss in southern Iceland. Blend of two exposures (one for the sky, one for the rest). Nikon D610 + 18-35 AF-S @ f/13, and probably a 3-stop ND filter (not sure though...).

Nicely done!   No overexposed area in that waterfall was not easy.  Colors and mossy rocks add much to the mood.   I like the mist too....maybe one item only to suggest would be a wee bit more room on the left side.   Ken S

I really like this perspective - water is rendered very nicely.  The slight magenta in the water and couds set a fine mood for this massive waterfall., and I like the frame created by the cliffs at the bottom.  Curious when this was taken?

Thanks for commenting! :) Harry - this was taken in early June this year at some point between 11 pm and midnight.

Lovely composition, Basil. The way the foreground frames the bottom of the waterfall is really nice.

Fantastic rendition of a classic location. I don't actually think I've seen this view, Basil. I might have moved a few inches to the left so that there was a tiny bit more space between the bottom of the falls and the bump out in the rock, however, that is just me being hyper-critical. Nice job!

Sweet image, Basil.  Love the greens and the framing is damn near perfect. Nice  job on the blend.  Excelllent.

Nicely framed--I like how the indentation in the foregrounds holds the water. The exposure is near perfect, and you did a fine job with the blend.

Well done!

Beautiful shot here, Basil! The shutter speed for the water is perfect and the blend is great. I agree with D.A. about stepping a little bit left to center the right edge of the falls in the U-shape in the foreground rock, and a little more room on the left might balance the image just a bit better, but those are very minor nits.
