Soon second sibling joined the face-off, but they still didn't have courage to attack the big croc.

Hi Jagdeep,

I really like this - I think it's extremely effective. We always think in terms of ALWAYS having to show our main subject's eyes in shots (or at least have them facing us) - this one shatters that rule really well. The feeling of curiosity-mixed-with-caution is absolutely palpable here. I think your choice of aperture (and resulting DoF) here is excellent - the croc is slightly soft (bringing the eye's attention back to the young tigers), but not too soft.

Very nicely done...cheers...

Jagdeep: you've captured a unique moment. No need to see the tiger's faces as their body language tells the story. The cubs might have lacked the courage to attack, but they sure had the brains not to attack. cool Richard

I second everything Brad said, but want to add the capture of postures, including ear angles, really makes the shot. The fight/flight  poses are perfect. An outstanding capture. And a vivid example of nonverbal communication solely by posture.

This scene gets better and better.  I just love the crossed orange bodies against the cool tones of this environment.
