Nice one Jagdeep.  I like the rim light on the antlers. Looks like it could have been difficult light.

Sweet, I like the layers of lighting, foreground light to background darker...and the perfect backlighting on the velvet antlers.  Cool post.

Hi Jagdeep

The Chital Stag is well light, aut in the large photograph the antler look like there is a white outline aroung them?

Hi Jagdeep,

Very nice light - and handled very well. I very much like the simplicity of the image and the pose of the buck. I wonder if there is just a tad too much foreground. I'm normally quite tolerant of branches, grasses, etc., overlapping subjects, but in this case the bright nature of them makes me wonder if they aren't a little distracting (or would be to some). But I'm not suggesting you remove them...just an observation.

Cheers...

Brad

Thanks friends!

Thanks Brad! I seem to agree with you, but I'm more bothered about grasses, overlapping the Deer.

Jagdeep, I love the gradient of the background, from the warm, sunlit green to the cool, shaded green in the back. The backlighting on the deer is also fantastic. I agree that it might be better without the grass overlapping the deer, but I don't know that there was much to be done about that, and it really doesn't bother me all that much. Great shot!
