Taken last winter in the foggy central valley amid glorious Valley Oaks.
Comments and critiques welcome. I seem to have lost the data for this one. I know I was using my 5d and a tripod!

Love the mood Kathy. The oaks are amazing in the fog. Nice depth and light here. I like the crop also. It makes the photog seem very small and somehwat less conspicuous, as if they are a visitor in the Oak world.

I really like the foggy and mysterious look to this one, Kathy. Placement of the photog is perfect and is a real plus to this scene....

The shapes of those trees are great, Kathy. B&w fits the scene perfectly and lets those shapes be most of the story. The photog is a fine strong addition, whose presence in the image is much stronger than size would suggest. The tripod makes it clear what's going on. Well seen and presented.

Hey Kathy,
Nicely done on this one, the B & W conversion is masterfully handled with wonderful contrasting tones that allow for all the elements to stand out in the fog. As mentioned, the photographer has a commanding presence in the composition and would seem to be perfectly placed in the frame.
Well done . . .

I love this Kathy. The photographer in the background is really what sets this apart in my opinion.

Great image! I love the mood, a real sense of mystery. I would have guessed the Yosemite valley from the look. Beautifully done.

The B&W conversion really works wel her. It would have been a beautiful image even without the photographer, but the addition of the human figure makes it that much more interesting. I like the way you have him/her positioned so that s/he is facing into more of the image.
