One of my favorite species in Ecuador's cloud forests are the Masked Flowerpiercers. This one was photographed coming into a sugar water feeder at Guango Lodge in January.

Hey Nate,
Excellent composition in all respects, I too love that perch.
Nicely done as per usual . . .
This is great, Nate. Nice perch, background, and color. Love the red eye. The only way to notice the fill is from the 2nd catch light. Beautifully done.
Hi Nate,
Looks good. I might work on the highlight on the eye (soften it slightly) and darken slightly the highlight at the base of the beak...........................Jim
A sweet shot as posted. Lovely colors overall. The perch is delightful.

Love this one Nate. The green BG compliments the blue feathers nicely. Comp is nice and the moss on the branch is a great bonus. Nice work.
Just had to check this one off Nate
Gorgeous colors in this bird, love the black 'mask' in combination with the red eye.
Beautiful work
Beautiful Nate, really like the colors here. The composition is excellent. Ray
