Got up really early to catch this sunrise along the Madison River in Yellowstone. I liked the singular red clound and the reflection in the water.

6 commentsWow, that's a gorgeous scene. In addition to colorful clouds, sky and reflections, I also like the graceful bend in the river and the wisps of rising mist in the distance.
That's a beautiful deep blue sky, but I think the lower 2/3 of the image are more interesting. I think a slightly more panoramic aspect ratio, like 16x9 would look even better, by taking a little off the top. If you wanted to zoom in just a little more, you could also take just a tiny bit off the right side, but that might be too much of a crop -- see what you think.
Beautiful sky and colors, along with a great mood to the image. I would concur with Wayne's crop suggestion.
I agree about the gorgeous light and color. I also agree with Wayne's crop suggestion because the cloud is the star of the show here.

A beautiful sunrise, Jerry. I'm very attracted to the simplicity, color, and clean lines of this scene. That snag in the river adds nicely, as do the burn trees on the slope (and this has to be the first time, I've felt like the burnt trees add to an image...). While I can see the suggested crop, I do think this works very well as presented.
I agree with all of the comments already made. A beautiful peaceful quite image. I also think that a more pano crop would inhance the image.
Beautiful simple lines and color. I would have a hard time removing much (any) of the pure blue sky, since it does add to the mood.
