This Gelada actually paused in his approach , when he eventually arrived I was ignored completely in favour of a nice patch of grass.
Probably the friendliest animals I have ever seen in Africa.

.....yes, but what about a dark alley in the middle of the night?........
Ken, I'll take your word for it that this guy is gentle, but he sure looks like a bad character. But as always, looks does not always mean demeanor either........excellent photo.
Fantastic photo Ken. From what I know about these animals I don't doubt your description of them being friendly. But dang, it's hard to get there looking at the photo! That's a pretty intimidating look.
No nits photograpically. Looks great.

I've always thought these guys were beautiful and ugly all at the same time. Amazing animal. Really nice capture.
Ken: I like that the subject is looking directly at you with those intense eyes. I think a slight crop would emplhasize the Gelada even more. Very nice nonetheless. Richard
This is just a great image. The look on his face, the dof and the way he stands out from the surroundings really works well. He also looks very menacing.
Nice look you managed from this Gelada Ken. As others, I will take your word for the friendly part...looks intimidating to me. Also, wondering how this might look with a bit cropped from the top and right to off center him a bit more right?
Thumbs up. I agree with Kurt's suggestion of slight crop, top and right, which I think will make this even more startling.
