When I first looked at the spider's face I thought that it had 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth but it turns out that the nose area is in fact a row of four smaller eyes. It also has 2 further eyes above the 2 big ones making a total of 8 eyes - good job they don't wear glasses! The white areas at the back of the spider shows that eggs are being carried in the egg sacs.

Excellent view, Graham, with sharpness where it's most needed and a fine setting. The head on pose creates a fine sense of "I'm watching you, too" on the part of the spider.
Nicely captured, Graham. I like the head-on view, and the spider stands out nicely from the bg. I think I would have preferred a bit more dof, which seems like was possible given the techs, but as Mark said, it's certainly sharp where needed.
