Clouds on the Water

Taken back in May on a visit to the Columbia River Gorge. I made this photograph on the same morning as my image "misty morning light", just 10 minutes earlier and at a different focal length with a very different result.

Nikon D810, 80-400 @ 400mm, 1/50 sec, f/8, ISO 64.

This is lovely, Sharron.  The layers both in the land and in the clouds look great and the sky and it's reflection in the river add a wonderful glow.  It's also neat how the skylight highlights the cloud edges

Simply gorgeous. I love the way the water reflects the color of the sky but in a slightly paler version.

Sharron, I can't believe this didn't get a lot more comments. It is absolutely stunning. One of my favorite places on earth too. Amazing light and you caught the mist at a perfect time.
