Sweet Sea Lion

Another shot of a Sea Lion at Valdez, Alaska. This one had hauled out on the rocks. Unlike my previous posts, this one shows the gentler side of the species.  The little bit of tongue helps create that impression enlightened

Sony ILCE-6000, FE 70-200 F4 G @ 200 mm, ISO-200, f4.0, 1/400, hand held.

Well done.  I like this for the serene mood, the tongue, great eye detail, excellent exposure, classic portrait composition and the inclusion of a bit of out of focus background detail to help establish a sense of place.  Thumbs up.

Hey Gary,

Overall I quite like this. And, I think your title nicely conveys what I feel when I look at this shot - just a sweet critter!

Cheers...

Nothing to dislike here.  It is certainly a sweet face - loads of detail and a touch of habitat in the backround.  I'd be interested in seeing a B&W version here due to the amount of detail and texture in the fur coat
