Nuthatch
Through room window. Stump wedged in hazel bush.
Maybe a slight indication of moire patterning on the tail. Supposed to happen with the filterless sensor on the D7100
D7100
Nikor 70-300mm
1000 ISO
250th @f9

Squarish crop from horizontal
Tidied BG blobs up a bit.
Thanks for comments on last pic.

Lovely image, John.  The presence of the moire pattern is not bothersome unless someone wants to use the image for ID and starts looking for that pattern on the tailenlightened.

Nice pose, perch and light. And that through a window enlightened. Like it ! Weird about that moire effect.. Cheers, Hans

Nice as posted. I like the squarish composition - it suits the subject.

Really like the setting for this image John.  When I looked at the small  image I thought it wasn't very sharp but when I looked at the large size I can see that it is sharp.  Excellent image.

What a cool frame John. I really like the habitat, colors and the classic pose from the Nuthatch. The details are very sharp and I could live with the moire effect. Well done!  devil
