Drifting Off to Sleep

A repost off No. 3 in my "Sleep Gadwall" series (to get it back into my gallery)

In this one, the male gadwall has gotten comfortable inside his cave of overhanging brush and is beginning to nod off.  Not quite asleep yet but his eyelids are getting heavy.  Meanwhile the sunlight reflecting off the water is still lighting him up as well as some of the leaves in the brush surrounding him.

Best viewed large.

Sony ILCE-6000, SEL-55210 @ 210mm, ISO-100, f/6.3, 1/1000, handheld.

A beautiful catch, Gary. I missed it the first time. I like the half open eye, the detail and the reflected lighting. Super work.cool

Nice one, Gary.  Not as powerful as the first, but a very serene image.

I liked this one the first time around, and I still do.  Frustrating to lose images from your gallery.  It has happened to me a number of times.
