Here is my spider image for this week. I think it might be a Cross Orbweaver. I found it in a parking before sunset.

D90, 105mm, f/18, 1/200, ISO 640, handheld, original frame. September 2015, Montreal.

Comments and critiques always welcome.

Fine image of this spider, Yun. Terrific backlighting. Super detail and color. I also like the streaky bg which adds interest to the image. devil

Very nice backlit spider! I alos like how the background stripes go the other direction compared to the strand that the spider is on. Makes for a very interesting background IMO.

Your sure got some great details and a fine glow in this spider, Yun.  The oof leaves add some fine colors and shapes in the background.  Well seen and captured.

Yun ..thats lovely light from within the beautiful spider..the design on its back ..and those half lit strips of green in the BG all work well here.

Love the vivid bg, Yun - it ought to be distracting but somehow for me it complements the spider beautifully.  Fine backlit capture of the insect !!

The colour of the legs of the spider return in the stalk and the leaves in the background. Orange and green make a good combination for me. Excellent sharpness of the spider. The light from behind nicely shows the hairs of the spider and its partial transparency. Still lots of detail on the abdomen. Very nice.

Amazingly sharp considering hand held.  Wow!  The opposing vertical lines of the grasses a nice touch.
