Wattled Jacana, juvenile

This was taken in Brazil.  While most everyone else went off looking for a Harpy Eagle I stayed behind to spend time with my new favorite bird.  I loved these youngsters with their big feet.  They just make me smile everytime I look at them.
On my tummy, Nikon D810, 300 mm 2.8 lens, f 3.2, ISO 500, 1/5000

Please view the larger image.

Hope you enjoy this image and critiques appreciated.

Those feeeeeeet are awesome sad

These guys look so different at this stage of life.

I really like the low perspective, it makes him stand out nicely against the background.

Very Nice Work May!!!

It's hard to believe how big those feet are...must make it hard to walk! Love the low angle and always like a raised foot. I think there might be a slight magenta cast to this May. But it could just be the color of the dirt in the BG and the pink part of the beak which are making me feel that way. One little nit...there is a spot which looks like a dust bunny straight left from the eye to about half way to the left edge. Nice work May.

Great angle, and I love the lifted leg that shows off the enormous feet.  Well done, May.

Love this one May!  Those feet are massive compared to the bird and the low angle is super.  I would clone out the spot to the left of the birds head. devil

May,
The younfster certainly shows off the foot size, they look as "sully" as those in Adeca. I would be interested in seeing one with a wattle (an adult) if you have any.

Hi May! I just commented on your most recent post before seeing this one, and what stood out for me there (and here) is that immense foot. Your description mirrors my reaction...they make me smile, too! And you should be smiling about this capture, as well, made even better by your willingness to lay down and get the lower (lowest) angle. Great shot!
