Boulder Field

Had some interesting late afternoon light spreading out on this volcanic boulder field in Bishop, Ca. The first afternoon of a four day trip up 395. Turned down the highlights in post processing to get some definition in the sun rays. I usually post in Landscape but you can see some fence structure on the ridgeline and through the boulder field so thought this gallery might be best.  Comments and Critiques appreciated.

Interesting loking rocks, with the rays in the background as a nice extra detail. The details in the mountain in the background are hardly visible, which I appreciate because it makes you wonder what you're looking at.

The BG makes this work for me.  The different layers of light working towards the foreground and the boulders make a nice cohesive package.
