This was taken this summer at a local park. I went to the park very early in the morning and camped out beside the water and waited for the birds to arrive. For this image I used a D800, 300 2.8 plus tc, ISO 320, f 5.6, 1/1600.

Nice photo of this little guy, May. Background, reflection, and the open beak are nice. I also like that the blue sky is reflected in the water ripples.

Lovely shot May.
Any more room around ?- I reckon a little more on the top and more on the right would make it even better.

Nice angle and reflection and an excellent job on the exposure, May. The open bill is a nice bonus.

I like the full reflection May and the colors in this image are quite peaceful. The open beak adds a lot to the image.
