We had some fabulous daylight sightings of Honey Badger in Khwai Community, Botswana, quite a rarity.
One of my favourite animals even if one did bite me in Hwange!

Ken: either way, it's a good photo. It's rare enough to see a photo of a honey badger, no less one taken with this unusual perspective. Was the badger digging after prey? Why were you playing with a badger?? Richard

How did one manage to bite you?
Really cool shot of an elusive critter, with interesting behavior as well.

This is a unique image! I have never seen a honey badger, but have read about them. I like that you have detail in the dark fur as well as the lighter areas. I also would like to know how you got bit by one! Thanks for sharing.

Love this Ken, great eye contact and nice action with the dirty flying. I haven't seen one of these yet.

Well done with this character digging with those awesome claws. I like the comp and clearly this guy is plotting something. The catchlight in the eye helps pull the viewer into the business end of the honey badger...................Jim

When viewed large I like the effect of the in-focus sand suspended against the nicely blurred background! Good work. Cool perspective, too.

I really like the perspective and the blurred background. What great luck to catch such an interesting pose from a very ellusive critter!

Love this one Ken. I hope I get to photograph these guys one day. Just love them. This one looks like he has quite the personality. nice low angle, like the flying dirt and the claws are a big bonus.

Thanks everybody, it is always a great experience to see one of these remarkable animals, but not in your tent in the middle of the night! I think it was more scared than I was but I was extremely lucky to just get a nip on my arm.
