A coyote fights the brutal wind and snow as he searches for voles in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley. I cloned a few weeds in the foreground.

Hisham,

Certainly looks cold to me, my only suggestion would be a little more walk into space.

Hisham,

a very nice setup and the walking pose is also fine. I may crop the top horizontal area on the upper edge of the frame.

I agree with the suggested edits.  There's a strong white outline between the snout and snow, perhaps sharpening artifact coupled with jpeg optimization.  I like the harshness of the image and you documented the brutal nature of winter.......................Jim

I like this very much. The only thing I would suggest is allowing some more space in front of the coyote (space to walk). Very nice!

This is a fine exposure capturing  a strong pose.  I agree with both previous comments, especially about offering some room in front for him to stride or look into.  I think a hint of foreground grass in the lower right would actually benefit the image, providing some spacial anchor.

Agree with others about the space in front, but like the pose. I think it is pretty unique.

This really tells the story of the coyote in a winter wind. I agree that it would be nice if there were more space on the right. Sometimes it is not easy to get everything perfectly the way you want it. The last image I posted of a copule of bighorn sheep needed more room on the right, but if I did that I would have had to do some heavy cloaning of body parts of other sheep sticking into the image. I really like the color, pose and feeling of this image.

Thanks for the comments! I had no more space in the frame so I added white snow in the front and bottom.

Cheers,

Hisham.
