Happy Thanksgiving to all the Yanks in the audience.

This is another from Yosemite, one early morning when fog shrouded the meadows.

D810, 70-200 (I think it was the only lens I used the whole trip).

Comments, critiques and suggestions are welcome.

This is really nice, Mr. H.! The two snags barely emerging from that wonderful mist is very appealing. The angled layer of mist is not something one sees every day. The color and tones look spot-on. Great detail in the foreground and in the background forest. Well done, sir!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

ps: If I could afford that 70-200, I'd buy one in heart beat. I really like the sharpness of that lens.

That is some pretty unique mist you captured here, love that diagonal line across the frame. I think I would crop a bit from the left, it feels a bit empty on that side compared to the rest, probably because that dark tree is not that obvious.

Harley,

Excellent! The subtle colors here are perfect for the scene. Great detail front to back as Preston mentions.  Of course the fog/mist really makes the image, but put all together and this wonderful.  Wouldn't change a thing.

Very nice Harley.  The grey and brown tones go well together especially with the layered fog.  I really like this type of image.  Simple, mysterious, and moody.

The ghostly trees in the bg add so much to the atmosphere. Very good! At first, I was a bit torn on the darker band separating the meadow and the trees. But now I think it adds a creative twist to the scene.

Hi  Harley crying  Great  photography..  excellent  use of  light to  capture a marvelous scenedevil.  just wondering,     if  you  very slightly  darken the  largest  foreground  tree.  would it  make  this  image  even better?.

Very moody Harley.  I like this and the ghostly aspen or birch trees.

Another stunning image, Harley, with the hint of color, the layers of fog which are flat out amazing, and the subtle detail of the distant trees revealed through the fog.  Folks need to view the larger image .... outstanding.

Excellent Mr Harley.  You have become the master of the mist.  Love it.  Happy Thanksgiving and you really gotta try that 24-195, an incredible lens.sad

I like the ethereal quality of this.  The faint golden colors in the foreground contrast nicely with the cool fog and the cold tones of the ridge behind.
