This is an image from the past winter that I haven't posted here yet. Cascade des Tuffs in the French Jura are among the most picturesque waterfalls in the hills of Jura.

This is a very different looking waterfall than I have ever seen before. The rocks seeming to hang into the air, provides me with a visual delight. I like the added features of the ice that gives me that frigid feeling.

Truly marvelos detail, Bill. I can't stop looking at the water spilling over the icicles...

The cascades are lovely, and I like the way hang like curtains off the rock. The color looks great. I'm on the fence with the trees in the right quadrant, however, because the line of base of the rocks leads me right to them. The tones look spot on.

Spectacular colors and water effects in this, Bill.  I really like the perspective, which is unique and challenging for getting fg to bg sharpness.  The more you look at this, the more you see, and it keeps me coming back for that reason.

Bill, What a wonderful shot you made here. I like the unusual look this has and you captured it beautifully. The light and colors are so interesting to look at. Your choice for shutter speed also worked out great capturing suchnice flow over the falls. Wonderful combination of elements here. devil

Tres Bien.  This is a nice travertine waterfall which is limestone based.  The limestone is deposited on the rocks as it leaches out of solution, creating these magnificent shapes which you have well depicted.  The color is very nice.  It appears the water has frozen and created icicles which is very special.  I have never seen anything like this.  Havasu falls in the Grand Canyon and the whole Havasu Creek system is travertine but I have never seen it cold enough to freeze.

Excellent image of what is certainly a gorgeous spot, Bill. I like the way you got close to the action (though I also tend to agree with Preston re the trees on the right).

Bill,

What a beautiful capture of this fascinating location.  I'd say it's not unlike my rock wall - many multitudes of compositional possibilities that I can imagine just viewing this single frame.

I don't mind the trees/bg on the right, it provides context for this setting.  Processing, color all look great.  the only suggestion I have is some selective burning.  You could burn that right hand side/corner just to pull down it's impact. But also some selective burning near top center at the top's of the mossy?/rocks where the water is cascading from.  Very minor.

I like this very much

Very interesting image, the icicles really provide a unique look, the colors really push it too.

This is very nice, Bill.  Love this image and the falls are amazing.  Really different.  Love your chosen SS and the comp is spot on. The only thing I could suggest, and it's minor, would be to burn the trees, sky, and snow right of the falls to lessen their impact.  Very minor.  Nice work as always.

Beautiful flow to the image.  Mighty colorful for a winter scene.  The diagonal comp brings me through the shot nicely.  So many interesting componenets to it.

This is a lovely cascade, Bill.  The your ss choice to make the water misty fits perfectly with all the subtle colors in the rocks and the pool.  The icicles (seen best in the larger view) are an extra treat.

Very pretty.  I like this a lot, especially how the composition walks me through the frame.
