I love discovering little ephemeral scenes like this which make for an appealing microcosm.  Wandering around Zion for hours/days/weeks is certainly its own reward.  But being additionally rewarded with a composition such as this is like an unexpected gift.

Definitely a cool find!  The sand swirl is almost like a nautlius shell.

A gift indeed.  I love everything about this Jim.  The swirl around the viened rock is amazing and the collection of pebbles just is icing on the proverbial cake.  Wonderful find and really well seen.

This is fabulous Jim!  My first thought was - without the little pebbles, the scale here would be a mystery; I love the upper half.  then again, the addition of the little stones just solidifies the composition.  Every element in the frame supports the overall presentataion.  No nits or suggestions, love this as presented.

There is a symbiosis between you and Zion that leads to some remarkable pictures, Jim.  Only someone really tuned into a place would find a composition like this.  Nicely done!

Wonderful composition, Jim.  Beautiful light, colors and shapes; thought it was an aerial from the thumbnail.devil

Very special to still be able to come across this type of natural display, understand it for what it is and depict it in a harmonious way.  Well seen.
