This youngster is the sister of the Leopard who featured in my images of the Mongoose catch, she is also the daughter of the female featured in "Feathers". Taken in Khwai Community, Botswana.
I hope the grass stems are not too distracting.

Ken,

I like the framing of the leopard by the trees and the soft light works also good. Usually I would have liked to have more eye contact to the subject, but as it is it creates a sense of interest to the viewer since it lets one think what is she looking for ...

The one diagonal stem is a bit unfortunate since it ends in the belly area of the leopard. If it would have ended somewhere in the area at the top of the left leg it would be less distracting. With a bit of patience you could clone it away.

That is something I have done on one of my images of a leopard many years ago since I found the image to be very special and tought that that would justify the time for cloning. It was selected as "Editor's Pick" for the WC# 249 and it is still in my gallery.

A gorgeous cat and an excellent capture, Ken!  The complimentary colors of the vegetation makes it extra nice.  The grasses are not a significant issue in my opinion.

She is quite the beauty and you captured that beauty very well. The grass does not cause me any concern. It is part of nature as much as is she. Is that an injury on her upper, inside right foreleg or just some missing fur?

Very nice Ken. The grasses don't bother me at all.

Thanks everybodydevil
Jim,
I have looked very closely at the RAW, there is no injury, I think it is the pinkish background that may be causing the confusion

Hey Ken,

I don't think the grasses detract from this image at all. In fact, I didn't even notice them until you mentioned them. This is a really unique image and I love the framing. Look like she's trying to "be the tree". Beautiful young cat. Congrats!

The framed setting is cool.  Techs, good.  Only issue, I think is the grass.  To me it seems that if there were lots of grass stems it would not distract at all, but with just a very few, then the one crossing horizontally can't help but pull the eye.

Nicely composed Ken!  I don't mind the grass at all, it's part of the environment and doesn't get in the way of her face.

Thanks for the additional comments I thought that the grasses might draw different responses
