Waterfall Abstract 1

A shot of Lower Twin Falls near Northbend WA taken in 2013. This is about a twenty foot section of this difficult to shoot waterfall. Compositions of the entire waterfall are hard to find without getting in the river which would require a long wade through some fairly treacherous water so I settled for this abstract. Not completely happy with the water along the left edge but a crop doesn't seem to work for me and a wider composition would bring in some foliage which I didn't want...it seemed less of an abstract. Thanks for looking.

A lot of tension in this yin-yang abstract. I like it! laugh

Nice abstract, Bruce. The water looks great, and the details in the rock face are excellent. I like how the lines of the water and rock strata converge downward, which adds to the sense of flow.

This is pretty trippy, Bruce.  Love the ribbons of water against the hard stone.  Very cool abstract.

I like Phil's description, a lot of tension. Cool mind-bending abstract. Well done.

This makes me look at the picture for a long time, puzzling about what I am looking at. Very nice abstract take on this, I like it!

What an interesting shot this is, Bruce. I think it worked out really nice and was excellent vision on your part.

I really like this abstract.  The contrast of the white water and dark rock work really well together.  Nice choice of shutter speed. I know you said you couldn't go wider, but I do wonder what a more vertical composition would do.

Bruce,

I find the ribbons of water to be fascinating!  The ribbon of water has a fiberous or cotton-spinning, fiberglass look and feel to it.  I'd say with maybe 1/2 or less of the rock on the right, would turn this even more abstract; although as presented there's a bit more context.  Either way, I'm really enjoying this capture. Well seen and executed!
