Evening Stroll

Mum and very young one stroll away from the waterhole at Ngweshka, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

My only wish it that there was less Elephant poo, but impossible in Hwahge , too many Elephants!

The hardly visible bird is a Lilac Brested Roller.

Ken: nice soft light and a great juxtaposition of sizes between the mother and the calf. The photo is slanted clockwise a bit. Richard

Ken,

the poses of both are very typicall as it is also that the youngster has to run behind the mum. Actually she looks a bit thin, isn't it ?

Lovely light. Great composition with very nice separation of subject from background.

Ken the poo believe it or not for me gives more scale. That little one is not much larger than some of the poo piles sad
It does feel a little CW slanted to my eyes also. Even if it is just because of a hill, I think a small rotation would not make it feel that way to the viewer and of course it's an easy fix.I can't get over how tiny that one is...very cute.
