Enjoying the View

This is a picture I made a couple of years back now. I was out shooting at Miners Beach on Lake Superior in Upper MI. After making a few shots farther away for probably a couple of hours I was returning to the beach area and saw my wife (Cheri) waiting and enjoying the sounds and moods of Lake Superior. This is a picture I keep in my head and often think about how lucky I am. I know I could do different crops of the original but I liked this one with her centered in the scene taking in all the surroundings.
Thanks for looking.

Difinately a keeper, Nick.  The scene evokes a peacefulness and a moment your wife is enjoying as well as you.  As far as the comp, I'd crop a little off the fg sandbar and maybe some of the blank sky.  Nicely done.

Thanks Reno! I did do a different crop of this and probably like it better. Thanks, Nick

Excellent capture of mood and subtle colouring. While I like both , the second with the crop of the upper portion of the sky seems a bit more compact and together. But both work very well for me.

The second image works better for me.  It pops a little more and gives me a better sense of place.

Nick,
Lovely shot.  I was guessing the Washington coast before reading your description.  Did you have enough canvas to move your wife to the left in the shot?  Wonder how that will look.  Regardless, it is a lovely shot.

Thanks so much guys for all of your comments and suggestions! Always appreciated!
Patrick, Yes, that would be nice if I could do that but this is all I have on the right side. For some reason I shot it in vert format and didn't even do a horz shot. I  was just walking back to this area after being gone for some time and just made this one quick shot because I enjoyed the way she looked sitting there. Thanks much all, Nick
