December 6, 2015 at the beach in front of the Montage Resort in Monarch Beach, California You may wonder why this photo is in Man & Nature rather than Landscape. The reason is that the two dots on the top of the rock in the top right are people watching the sunset. This location is a magnet for photographers, both professional and amateur. That night there were at least 5 professionals taking Christmas family photos, wedding dress photos, fashion and one Quincenera. It was hard to find a location where they were not in our photo and we were not in theirs. Catalina Island is in the background to the right of the setting sun. it takes dedication to shoot in this location as many times the waves came over the rocks and hit me between my knees and boots. Needless to say my boots fill up with water. Thank goodness for wool socks.
