Patrick,

What a beautiful sunset seascape!  You've got a terrific composition and I love the reflected light in the water.

There really isn't much to be critical of here at all, this is wonderful.  What's interesting is that the small version in the post seems a tad on the dark side, and I might suggest a slightly lighter version.  However, opening the large view I no longer get that impression - the areas of light and reflections show very well in large view.

The ONLY minor thing I would suggest is cloning out that fuzzy chalk-like bar in the upper left.  Not sure if that's flare or what that is, sure is unusual.  Oh, and there are a few dust bunnies in the sky.

A couple minor fixes and this one can only get better.

Lon,
Thank you for your comments.  Until you mentioned it the oblong object in the sky on the left looked like another cloud to me.  Certainly overlooking the dust bunnies was a major trip up.  You have helped me make the image better.  Let me know how the re-post works for you.

Beautiful ocean scene and reflected sun in the surf.  Like the reflected cloud in the pool.  I might be tempted to lighten the sky a bit, as it seems rather heavy for sunrise looking toward the sun.  Well balanced and nice detail preserved in the shadows.

Great seascape Patrick!  Love the light in this, the sunset colors, and the sunstar.  Like me, looks like you are branching out from avian and exploring other photographic opportunities.  Have really enjoyed your avian posts and now likewise your landscapes. Love it.

Great sunstar and I love the combination of warm aand cool colors in this seascape, Patrick. I also like that cloud reflection in that tide pool. The repost makes this even better. I could also see this with the sky lightened just a bit. Just a suggestion of course.

This is a fine seascape with a very strong foreground.  I agree with suggestions to brighten the sky.  In fact I'd even suggest brightening the image overall.  If this had been taken fifteen minutes after sunset (without the sun of course), then I'd say that the darkness of this image as presented would seem expected.  But it just seems like the image is too dark considering that the sun had not set yet.  I'd also suggest adjusting the tone of the sky to bring out more blue.

It's a fine sunset view, Patrick, very peaceful and inviting.  The reflected clouds in the pool on the right are a fine addition and add some extra interest on that side.  Were this mine, I'd dodge the right half slightly as it feels a bit dark over there.  Your fix on the sky looks good.

Very fine seascape and sunset with nice foreground lighting.  One of your best.  Good levels of color.
