This is a truly outstanding composition in every aspect and detail!  The clouds are spectacular, and the sunburst at the edge of the stack is a perfect choice.  I'd like to see the color version of this also.  Oh ... and I just noticed the bird at the top of the stack ... wonderful!  There appears to be a dust spot just to the right of the stack just above the horizon, and perhaps a few in the clouds also.

You've got a terrific swirl in the clouds, Daniel, some fine depth with that distant stack and the sunburst for some extra interest.  Well done.

Great B&W: the composition, the details in the foreground, the sky, the sun. . . beautiful!

I've always enjoyed viewing these sea stacks in B&W. They seem so much more ominous and powerful in this medium. Love the sunstar and the range of tones you've caught here!

Daniel,

Of course the gull is the icing on the cake, but even without, this would be an outstanding b&w seascape; Awesome sky/clouds and a great sunstar to complement the scene.

The only very, very minor suggestion I have has to do with the reflection of the stack.  The tip is just merging with the bottom of the frame.  No biggie really, but at least to my eye, I would either like to see a bit of space below, or perhaps crop just very slightly more so that it's clipped on purpose.  To me, the image is not about the reflection anyway; a slight crop at the bottom would keep the emphasis up top.  Just a thought, but certainly doesn't detract from being able to enjoy this beauty.

Fantastic sky, sunburst and perched gull really make a fine image.  I also vote for color.

Wonderfully seen, captured, and processed.  I agree with Lon on the reflection point.  I can imagine two fixes: one is to use very careful cloning to create some space around the tip (just shaving the reflection of the tip until there is space around it) and the other is to crop it to the second or third ripple, which also gets frid of some of the relatively bland space in the lower right corner as well.
Of coruse, it's great as is too, so grain of salt...

I like how the clouds duplicate the curve of the sea stack. You could have created a composition that emphasizes that more somehow.

Well composed, Daniel. The nice sunstar, dramatic clouds, and seagull are terrific elements that elevate this image into the excellent category.

Impressive cloud formation, can't go wrong with cirrus like that. Really strong B+W, even though I would be curious to see a version with the sun behind the rock, just out of curiosity. Nice job!

Very cool, Daniel.  Perfect in b/w.  A little clean up and you got a home run with this image.
