Black Guillemots part 2

A different perspective to the more 'arty' posting I did a short while ago, but within the same location. I think my focus was more on the landscape behind rather than the birds, but as previously stated, I wanted more of this to be a 'birdscape' with the surrounding environment/habitat with the subjects being small within the composition. Shot from a drifting zodiac.

Thanks to those who viewed or posted a comment on the previous thread.

Steve,

as you say this is more an "Landscape with Birds" image, while the other is more a "Bird in Landscape". However a nice image.

Beautiful image Stephen.  Love the inclusion of the habitat, but I wonder if it is a little too much.  Hard to identify the birds when they're this small in the frame.  A horizontal crop to exclude the sky looks like a possible option.  Still would be lots of nice habitat. But really enjoy the photo as presented.

Gorgeous background, Steve, and the bird coming out of the water is a very nice touch.

Steve:

I like this one very much as well.  The birds small in the frame are fine for me on this.  The story is much more than the birds in this image.  Nicely captured.

Another wonderful story told Steve. Love both the textured ice and the stormy sky, well done!

Beautiful setting; the bird re a bitlost but it does give a sense of scale.

I agree this one is a bit more landscape with birds, rather than birdscape, but I still think the birds play a role in this image and I am fine with the size of them in the frame. I like seeing people think outside the box like this.
