Ibis on a Stump

I found this bird in Bayou Sauvage last July.  It's sometimes a challenge to find clean backgrounds there, but this one was out in the open and posed for one frame with the leg lifted.

I love the lighting and the pose on this, Bill.  Glad to see someone else using a 2X converter with nice results.  Excellent.

Bill,

I also like the light conditions very much, as well the serene scene. I just wished a slight turn of the head towards the viewer.

By the way, I use my EF 2.8/300L with stacked converters and I am happy with the results which require carefull work.

Great shot Bill of this Ibis,
Sweet pose, nice light and wonderful detail. The water habitat is my favorite aspect of this image and makes me wish for a full reflection of the subject.
Well done . . .  devil

I like the leg lift and clean image Bill. Since you don't have the full reflection, I am wondering how this might look with a tighter crop on the bottom and a bit more room on the left (if you have it).
