Day Dreaming

I mid morning walk on Second Beach, Olympic Peninsula. A full reduction in clarity and saturation left me with the base for this final result. Then just some selective dodge/burn and sharpening.
I hope everyone has had, and continues to have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks
Chris

I am not a huge b&W fan, but this one works really well. Your have created a very moody image. I makes me want to be there experiencing the moment.

This is a superb image IMO. The large version is a must see. The image is great but what really takes it over the top is the small jet black rock in the low center. A small counterpoint to offset all that soft moodiness. Great seeing and understanding how this image would eventually appear in B&W.

Very good looking B+W, nice job! The rocks in the distance could use a wee bit of clarity maybe, they look a bit too soft for me. But that is a small nit, I really enjoy this one!

HI  Chriscrying  Even the title works  wonderfully well   in this post...Igor 's  comment  echoed my thoughts perfectly.  the small black  rock  really  sets the mood against  this alluring soft   misty scene..

Excellent in every way, Chris! The large version just looks wonderful. Wonderful processing too!

Chris,

This is indeed very "dreamy."  Awesome job with the processing!  And a great job in processing is always tipped off when the image doesn't look processed!

Just beautiful. Make me wish I was there.

Lon

ps. see my resopnse to your question in my "Endless" post.

Digital mist you might say.  Really adds to the mood of the shot a fine choice here.

Chris,
This is really beautiful. The negitive clarity and atmosphere does give it a very appealing dreamy quality. Well done.
