Aging Gracefully

I am a big fan of Freeman Patterson's work and this image uses the color combinations which I feel is part of his best work. His images always have such a relaxed sense to them. I was going for the muted blues and browns here along with a combination of textures. I slightly underexposed it because I didn't want the image to shout at you but rather understate it's message. Because that's how old people are - they're more to them than appears on the surface.

Nice write up, Igor.  Very elegant photo...nice details with attractive lines,  great tones, good cobwebs and a good lock. Looks likes this old door has been left alone for a while. Some lovely gray/blue coloring in the glass...you hit your mark 100%.

Excellent, Igor. Great detail to explore, with fine understated colors.

Igor: I really like the understated tones and textures. The cobwebs and the condition of the lock add to the "oldness" of the scene. Richard

The composition is spot-on, and I really like the understated color, soft contrast, and all the detail. Well done!
