This is Maddie Lou, our second rescue we adopted in February 2015 at 16 weeks old. A Rat Terrier mix and part of an "unwanted litter" rescued in South Carolina, Maddie is now about 32 pounds and fully grown. Maddie and Gracie are inseparable and their play antics are a constant source of entertainment for us.
Photo taken in August, my usual gear: Canon 50D, EF 135/2L shot wide open, hand held, crop off the top.
Note - I usually convert photos of Maddie to B&W because other than her dark brown eyes, no color shows up in her photos! I decided to leave this color to convey the summer setting.

Beautiful pup and another great shot, Jim. I'm starting to think that I need a copy of that lens! Happy New Year to you, Donna, and the Erhardt crew. Looking forward to an exciting 2016.

Another very cute dog, Jim. I like the shallow dof. I don't think anyone could resist that expression.

Jim,
a very nice portrait and I like that she is framed not so tight. She also gave you a good pose while photographing which I like. Technically very good and your choice of depth of field works fine for me.

Hi Jim,
Black & white dogs are challenging, but you captured a cute pose and handled the exposure very well. Well done.....................Jim
