I wonder where this giant, heavily weathered tree came from before being washed up on the rugged CT shore?

Mark,
Indeed, one wonders where this came from and what stories it could tell. Your comp realy helps tell that - or ask that question. I like that you've give the foreground all the prominance it deserves. and the sky and sunset(rise?) is just a wonderful complement to the scene and not overpowering it. Very well composed and executed. No nits or suggestions either

Who knew CT had a shore line like this? I like the textures in the FG, and some sweet sky color. Serene view despite it must have been a big storm that threw that log onto the shore.

I like that most of the bright color is above the horizonand the blend of the pinkish water just moves into the multitextured rocks to the driftwood which is perfectly placed.

Mark,
This is very nice. I really like how the downed tree trunk leads your eye into the frame. Not sure how it will work but I might try to dodge the far end of the tree trunk to gain a bit more visual separation from the surrounding rocks to accentuate the leading line created by the trunk.

Hi Mark,
I like the perspective in this image and the hyperfocal portrayal of this scene. Lighting is awesome..........................Jim

Cool perspective and evocative scene. The colorful sky is a great compliment, too. I really like it.

Nice details and a nice sky too, good job! Would indeed be interesting to know where it came from.
