Ken,

welcome back and what a nice picture you have posted. I like the colors and the overall setup. The curious look and pose are typical cat and I like that.

Technically well done, good sharpness wher it matters and the exposure is fine.

I am curious to see what else you have got on your trip enlightened

Hello Ken ... Great capture , with a very Sweet cat!  I think  on top right side if you could tone down that hanging branch , would help and be less distracting.

Looking forward to seeing more !

The cub seems to be looking at something to your side giving you a very nice poise.  I like the composition, colors and details.  Would not change anything except maybe cropping some on the right side to take out the small branch hanging down.  Thanks for sharing.

Emotional appeal takes this one up several notches!  Especially given the fairly large blob of OOF greenery in the right third of the frame, I suggest a crop to different ratio, perhaps 4x5 which would make the tree angle into the top RH corner, or you might try this as a pure vertical.  That baby is beautiful and giving you a perfect pose.

Ken: a fine image in all aspects and what's not to like about a beautiful leopard cub. The only thing I'd suggest wuld be to crop to a vertical, thus getting rid of the oof blob and bright branch in the right third of the frame. Great otherwise. Richard

Ken, I love seeing the green setting.  I find the upper right corner a bit distracting, but I'm not sure cropping it out would help.  Perhaps a square cropping featuring the cub and the tree next to it might work, but this does too.

Thanks for the additional comments, rather than change this I will take a look at the other images I have of this beauty.

Hi Ken - I tried leaving a comment shortly after you posted this but upon revisiting it appears it didn't go through (we live on a rural acreage and have some less-than-reliable internet service at times).

Absolutely gorgeous image you've put together here, Ken! The light is wonderful but the cub's pose is just off the charts! It's like its mom hired you for baby portraits and you set this up! I like the overall comp and feel it balances well, but do agree that perhaps this might be stronger without the rightmost 1/4 (eliminating the OOF branches). Not a deal-breaker by any stretch of the imagination though...this is a really special image IMO.

You caught the cub at the right moment in a very nice environment. I agree with a crop from the right. Otherwise just beautiful.

Hi Ken, I agree about some of the crop suggestions, mostly to get rid of that bright branch hanging down on the right side of the tree. But everything else is very nice. This little one is super cute.
