A Handsome Pair

Here are the big ones.  Eli and Reina, a pair of Anatolian Shepherd Dogs.  Taken during one of our many hikes on Thompson Pass, Alaska.  I appreciated their stopping for just a moment to pose for me.

Sony ILCE-6000, FE 70-200 @ 70 mm, ISO-100, f/4.0, 1/2500, hand held.

Looks like something caught their eye.  I like how they are striking a pose for you and their placement in the frame.

Gary, I like your composition of this photo.  The dogs are well placed.  The water and the grass set off the subjects well.  In a perfect world I would like to see just a bit more space between them, and that they were looking toward you rather than away.  Since the perfect world seldom presents itself, congratulations.

Clearly having a great time as well as being handsome.  The lighting shows them of well here, Gary.  I'm also enjoying the wet grasses and the open water lead in front of them.

I really like your crops in context images.  To me, this is a superb way to show off the animal.

Oh yeah...love these two (remember them from prior WC's). I need to hire you for your posing powers! sad Really like the tones throughout, the partial reflection, the matching but minimal tongue positions, the opposing tail positions, and of course the lakeside setting. Great open light with soft contrast as well.
