We found this dilapidated old homestead while riding around south Georgia.  Even though the home could not withstand the winds of time, the beautiful sunset enjoyed years ago, endured.  I was able to capture the finale rays of sun radiating from a back window and through the front window.  Nature has a way of creating beauty with all challenges.

I really like the composition and subject of the photo. I personally love the way nature reclaims the ruins we leave behind making them look like they still belong. I realize that the angle you shot at was to capture the final rays of the sun, but wonder if the angle and wished for result could have still worked with a closer approach. I find the branches in the foreground to be a bit distracting to the rest of the shot. If they could not be omitted, could a possible toning down of their golden glow to bring them back into a more harmonious tone with the rest of the shot. Just a thought.

Like the windows and doorways and the bungled clapboards and the way nature is re-staking its claim on the old structure. The off focus sunlit stalks also distract me a bit.

Thank you for your comments.  I have attempted to tone down the grasses in the foreground, without taking too much away from the sunset radiating through the window.
