Red-winged Blackbird  One of my favorites; when I hear their song it makes me think spring is right around the corner.
I particularly liked the background on this shot.

A nice shot well composed. Some tech specs would be helpful and your "larger image" is the same size as the small one. It is really helpful in a critique to get the best look possible and the most information possible.

Lovely, Allen.  I agree that the bg in this one is lovely.  Nice exposure on the blackbird.

Did you do anything special to get a BG like this?  The RWBB really pops here and the detail on the top half is very nice.

Really nice exposure on this Allen. Nice detail in the blacks, both red shoulders and a nearly perfect background. I just wish the stick at the tip of the beak wasn't there. Very nice shot!  devil

Very nice job on this, Allen. I hope we can safely visit Malheur soon. I can't offer much constructive criticism without camera data and a larger version.

Terrific color overall and I like the twigs streaming to the top of the frame.

Nicely composed image.  I have difficulty exposing these guys well.  I really like the perch here and the light background.  Malheur is a magical place.  Lets hope that the terrorist are removed from the refuge and public use is restored soon.
