Tracks to the Sun

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right gallery.
I made this picture last November right at sunset. I had been thinking about doing this one for awhile and finally had a night that I thought would work. These railroad tracks are used several times a week but I knew no trains were coming that night. After coming up with the comp I set my tripod up to match were I wanted the camera. After careful focus I held a two stop grad filter in place and make this shot. These tracks are right in my home town and I still enjoy hearing the train go through.
Canon 5D3, 16-35 F/4 L @ 30mm,ISO 400, F/16, 1/40 sec with 2 stop grad. One exposure.
Larger version included.

I really like this. Love the light on the rails leading to the sunset.

Beautiful sunset colors in the sky and reflecting off the rails.  Nice comp with the rails leading into the image and the orange and white sign on the side.

Well conceived an executed, Nick. The side rail balances nicely the sunset.

Nicely done Nick. I like this a lot, mainly because it looks real and 'invites me in'. And hey mate, grads still rock!

Nick, I appreciate the dividing tracks and the way the seem to get lost in the distance. That keeps me thinking about the many possible ways they might continue.
