42nd Street
by Bill Leggett
In my younger less foolish years, while working at the camera shop, occasionally I hired on to help deliver sailboats along the Gulf and East Coast. We asked only that expenses be paid. In 1971 I was waiting to sail a thousand miles from City Island, NY to Ft. Lauderdale, and I spent a couple of days in Manhattan. This is an old image in tribute to the NYC subway system, the best way to travel in the city.

4 commentsthanks for sharing your history and this iconic shot. I like the B/W. Did you shoot in color and process it in this manner or were you shooting B/W?
